Real or a Hoax
So today we started looking at websites to try and determine whether or not they were a hoax or real. We learned that if we go to Snopes and can check the validity of sites. We also worked some with the smart board and got to use the clickers and write on the smart board. I learned that if I ever have to use the board in my room if I become a teacher I will have to practice a lot!

GoogleEarth Day
Today we worked on finishing our iMovie and then we explored GoogleEarth. So we picked a topic to explore with google earth-My topic is "Places in Oregon that have been named after Animals" So for each place, we have use a pushpin/place holder to mark the location and then use use Edit information to add a linked picture and linked information on the location. The addresses were more about___ is the format followed. Now I just have to figure out how to set up the tour to visit all the places on my map!

Class 3
In our third class of technology, we started working with iMovie. Melissa, Jaime and I decided to make a persuasive ad for getting enough sleep and how not getting enough is harmful. So during class, we went and shot some of our scenes. Then we came back and started putting it together on iMovie. We even got as far as to add some transitions and titles!

Photoshop Day
So on the second day of class, we looked at several pictures to determine if they were real or fake. Not really something I had thought about much, not that I believe whats on the cover of Enquirer or the like of course. But I was surprised about National Geographic and them Photoshopping one of their covers. As for working with Photoshop my self, so far its been a failed (several) attempts. Although I can get the three pictures together, I am having trouble making it look like it is actually together. Oh well, I will take it as a challenge, hopefully one I can master!

Part 2 of Day 1
I think this class is going to be pretty helpful. We looked at sites like bighugelabs.com which worked with doing different things with pictures and also at http://go2web20.net/ which had everything from educational math games to learning a language to yelp. I think next class we are working with photo shop so that should be fun!
