Websites

We started working on how to create websites today. We started off by going to go2web20.com and i chose to go to websites-Lifeyo to create my first practice website. It was fun! I could get pictures off the internet for both the background and for in the site itself, and i could create new pages that i could access from the homepage and put whatever info i wanted in. I think i might use this site when i am a teacher to create a website for my classroom. Then we started working in Dreamweaver. Its pretty confusing. But mainly remember to save it in the public html and use dreamweaver=)

iPads and iPods

Today we got to work with both iPods and iPads. I have never played with an iPad before and that was really fun. We took a look at different applications on both programs that we will take and make a lesson of sorts out of that we could use in the classroom. I found several applications for phonics and word lessons that i will try to create a lesson out of. We also created our own iPod application which was pretty cool. It was about dolphins. we didnt save our projects though =(

PodCasting

Today we took a look at iTunes and different podcasts with relation to education. I found an interesting one about outdoor education n Scotland. There are also some neat ones that other students shared-math, greek gods(Hercules), and language learning. We will then put together our own podcast using garageband.
